DUBAI – Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has opened a new branch for driver training and testing in Al Quoz Industrial Area.

The move forms part of wider efforts to streamline processes and enhance the efficiency of public facilities for residents in the area and neighbouring districts. The centre, operated by Eco Drive Driving Institute, brings RTA licensing services closer to communities across the emirate.

It is the 29th service point in RTA’s expanding network of driver-training outlets.

Service expansion

Ahmed Mahboob, CEO of RTA’s Licensing Agency, said the new branch strengthens the range of facilities through which customers can access driver licensing services. He noted that the centre aligns with the Government of Dubai’s direction to simplify service delivery and enhance customer accessibility.

Modern facilities

Mahboob explained that RTA worked closely with Eco Drive to ensure the branch meets modern standards, both in its appearance and in the facilities and equipment it provides.

The centre offers transaction processing, opening of traffic files, driver training services, theoretical tests and internal practical tests, which are conducted through the smart light-vehicle testing yard.

Operating hours

The institute delivers services seven days a week, from Monday to Sunday, operating between 8:00 AM and 11:00 PM. A Friday prayer break is in place from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM.
